Storyline:
Set in Mengnanapuram, Jollyo Gymkhana follows Bhavani and her family as they navigate unexpected challenges after their dream venture is thwarted. Blending suspense and dark humour, the story explores their determination to overcome obstacles against all odds.
About Movie:
In early November 2023, it was announced that director Sakthi Chidambaram would collaborate with Prabhu Deva for the third time after Charlie Chaplin (2002) and Charlie Chaplin 2 (2019). The director revealed that Prabhu Deva would portray a corpse for most of the film.
In mid-December, the film’s title was unveiled as Jolly O Gymkhana, a nod to the popular song composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Vijay from Beast (2022).
Principal photography primarily took place in Tenkasi, Kodaikanal, Chennai, and Puducherry. On 6 November 2023, Chidambaram confirmed that filming had wrapped the previous week and the project had entered post-production.
Jolly O Gymkhana was released in theatres on 22 November 2024.
