Storyline:

Kaatera, a blacksmith in Bheemanahalli, has to tackle multiple challenges to help the farmers of his village implement Land Reforms Act in order for the farmers to escape from the feudal landlords Devaraya and Kaalegowda.

About Kaatera Movie:

Kaatera is a Kannada action drama film directed by Tharun Sudhir and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars Darshan and Aradhana Ram, in her debut, in the lead roles along with Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, Vinod Kumar Alwa, Danish Akhtar Saifi, and Shruti in supporting roles. The music is composed by V. Harikrishna while Sudhakar handles the cinematography and editing. S. Raj and K. M. Prakash.

The film was announced on 16 February 2022 on the occasion of Darshan’s birthday by Tharun Sudhir without revealing many details.

Principal photography began with a muhurta on 5 August 2022. The shooting took place in various locations of Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Initially, the producer aimed to release the film on the occasion of Dasara, which did not happen due to production delays. It is speculated that the team is eyeing Sankranti or February 2024 release. The makers announced that the film will be released on 29 December 2023, through a special video. Post the film’s positive reviews and collections, the makers announced that the production house is aiming for a grand overseas release, starting with Dubai. Additionally, the film is set to have a theatrical run in around 9 countries including Germany, UK, the USA, Canada, and Ireland.
