Storyline:

About Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 Movie:

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is an upcoming Kannada period action thriller film set during the reign of Kadambas of Banavasi written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under Hombale Films. It is a prequel to the 2022 film Kantara. The film stars Rishab Shetty as Kaadubettu Shiva.

Filming began in November 2023 and the film is planned for release in late 2024. The first look and teaser was released on 27 November 2023. The publicity poster is designed by Kaani Studio. B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the soundtrack and background score.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2025 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English languages.

The digital distribution rights of the film were acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
