About Landman Season 2 TV Series
The most popular Paramount+ series, Landman, has officially announced its second season, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, inspired by the podcast Boomtown, hosted by Wallace.
In May 2024, it was confirmed by Demi Moore that a second season was planned, with production set to commence in early 2025. In March 12, 2025, Paramount+ renewed the series for a second season.
Co-creator Christian Wallace would love to return to the world of Landman, saying, “As long as there are stories to tell, I would love to keep telling them. And I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that’s saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.”
On April 2, 2025, Paramount+ announced that production on Landman Season 2 had begun, just three weeks after the series was renewed.

Landman Season 2 Storyline (Plot)
Landman is set within the world of oilfields in West Texas, where “roughnecks and wildcat billionaires are fueling a boom so big it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.” The lead character, Tommy Norris, can be abrasive, as is the out-of-town lawyer investigating a fatal accident early in the season.
The second season plot is currently underwraps, although, based on first season, season 2 picks up directly from the explosive events of the Season 1 finale, with several major plot threads set to drive the new season’s drama.
It will focus on Tommy’s reluctant leadership, escalating cartel involvement, deepening family tensions, and the high-risk, high-reward world of oil in West Texas.
