Storyline:

The film explores the life and personal struggles of a police head constable named Govardhan.

About Movie:

Laughing Buddha was written and directed by M. Bharath Raj and produced by Rishab Shetty under his banner Rishab Shetty Films, marking his fourth production venture.

The project was officially announced on August 31, 2020, with the first look poster and title reveal. Filming was set for October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and cast scheduling conflicts.

During the delays, director M. Bharath Raj used the time to rewrite and refine the script. Filming resumed in March 2023 and wrapped up on June 29, 2023.

Pramod Shetty underwent a major physical transformation, gaining thirty kilograms to prepare for his role.

Laughing Buddha was released on August 30, 2024. Initially scheduled for release on August 23, 2024, the date was postponed to the current one.
