Storyline:

Two friends Pica and Arum, who wanted to complete their internship at Lembayung Clinic, had to face mysterious terror from a woman named Tantri who was suspected of hanged herself in the bathroom. The situation became even more tense after they asked others for help to the point where they threatened their own lives and those closest to them.

Lembayung is an Indonesian horror thriller film marking Baim Wong’s directorial debut, with Wong also serving as co-producer. The film features Taskya Namya, Yasamin Jasem, Arya Saloka, Daffa Wardhana, Tio Pakusadewo, Paula Verhoeven, Mario Maulana, and Erick Estrada.

The film is based on the true story written by Pica on her viral Twitter thread titled ‘Jin Poli Gigi’.

Filming for Lembayung began on November 15, 2023, and wrapped up by December 10, 2023. The film was shot in Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia.

Lembayung was released on September 19, 2024.
