Storyline:

The narrative follows Varun Srivastav (Ranveer Singh), a conman who poses as an archaeologist to gain access to the Zamindar’s estate where he intends to execute his plan. He falls in love with Pakhi Roy Chaudhary (Sonakshi Sinha), the zamindar’s daughter, who is sheltered and suffers from asthma. Their romance blossoms amidst the changing socio-political landscape, but Varun’s secret threatens to unravel their relationship. About Movie:

Lootera is a Hindi period romantic drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, inspired by O. Henry’s short story The Last Leaf. Set in the 1950s against the backdrop of the Zamindari Abolition Act in newly independent India, the film tells the poignant love story between a conman posing as an archaeologist and the daughter of a Bengali zamindar. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Barun Chanda and Adil Hussain.
