Storyline:

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” tells the amazing true story of a 12-year-old boy who gets separated from his family during a fast-moving storm while on a treacherous hike on Maine’s largest mountain peak.

Lost on a Mountain in Maine is an American adventure family drama film directed by Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger and written by Luke Paradise. It stars Caitlin FitzGerald, Paul Sparks, Ethan Slater, Luke David Blumm, Bates Wilder, Dan Matteucci, and Dean Neistat.

Filming took place in the woods of upstate New York, with the crew battling insects and wading through shoulder-height water for scenes in a canoe. Other scenes were filmed on Mount Katahdin and a replica mountaintop built in a soundstage, complete with lichen-covered granite stones, blowing wind and rain and lightning.

The film premiered on July 13, 2024, at the Maine International Film Festival and was released theatrically on November 1, 2024.
