Storyline:

The story revolves around Suman (Bhagyashree), a young woman whose father leaves her in the care of another family while he travels abroad. Maine Pyar Kiya is a Hindi romantic musical film directed by Sooraj Barjatya, marking his directorial debut. Produced by Rajshri Productions under Tarachand Barjatya, the film features Salman Khan and Bhagyashree in lead roles, alongside Alok Nath, Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo, Rajeev Verma, Ajit Vachani, and Laxmikant Berde in supporting roles.

Principal photography took place in Mumbai and various locations in Ooty. The film features a score and soundtrack composed by Raamlaxman, with lyrics written by Asad Bhopali. The film’s production budget was approximately ₹20 million.

Maine Pyar Kiya was released on December 29, 1989, and became a massive commercial success, grossing approximately ₹308.1 million worldwide. It was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year and remains one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the 1980s.
