Storyline:

On Christmas Eve, Albert returns home after several years of being away. Grieving for and adjusting to the loss of his mother, he steps out seeking cheer in the city`s Christmas Eve festivities. He meets the beautiful and mysterious Maria, and her little daughter who is mute. The night fans into long walks and conversations, sparking unexpected, but undeniable, magnetism between Albert and Maria. For Maria, Albert is everything she could have asked for… And for Albert, Maria is nothing short of a Christmas miracle.

But things soon take a dark turn and an evening of romance turns into a nightmare.

About Merry Christmas Movie:

Merry Christmas is an Indian thriller film directed by Sriram Raghavan. Filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil, the film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.

Principal photography of the film began in December 2021 and wrapped up in January 2023.

Merry Christmas marks the Tamil debut of director Sriram Raghavan, Katrina Kaif, and music composer Pritam as well as the third Hindi film for Vijay Sethupathi.

The audio rights were acquired by Tips Music.

After several postponements, Merry Christmas was released in theatres on 12 January 2024. The streaming rights were bought by Netflix for ₹60 crore (US$7.5 million).
