Storyline:

After a shopping mall in Chennai is hijacked by terrorists who hold the visitors as hostages, Veera Raghavan, a spy also trapped in the mall, decides to save the hostages by eliminating them.

About Beast Movie:

• The production rights of Vijay’s 65th film as lead actor were acquired by Sun Pictures in early January 2020 when it was set to be written and directed by AR Murugadoss. However, the producers ousted Murugadoss from the film in October 2020 after he refused to cut his remuneration.
• Nelson was later hired and wrote a new script, Beast.
• Principal photography began in April 2021 and wrapped in December taking place in Chennai, Delhi and Georgia.
• The first look poster of Beast which released on 21 June 2021, shared through Vijay’s official Twitter account, was the most liked and retweeted tweet in the entertainment section, according to a survey report by Twitter.
• The official trailer of the film was released on 2 April 2022. It became the most watched Tamil and South Indian trailer in 24 hours with over 30 million views on YouTube. It was the first Indian trailer to release in Premium large format (PLF).
• Beast was released in theatres on 13 April 2022, where it received mixed reviews from critics. The film was a commercial success, grossing ₹217–300 crore worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time.
• Beast was made available for streaming, on 11 May 2022, in both Sun NXT and Netflix, in Tamil alongside dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
• The original Tamil-language version of the film was premiered on television on 24 October 2022 on Sun TV, on occasion of Diwali, and registered a television rating point of 19.62 according to Broadcast Audience Research Council, becoming one of the most viewed film.
• Owing to the film’s success, Nelson in an interview, asserted the possibility of a sequel to the film. Later in August 2023, he confirmed the project titled Beast 2.
• In January 2022, several production companies were in talks to take the Hindi remake rights of the film. Later, Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment bought the rights for the Hindi remake of the film.
