  • Filming began in May 2021. Shooting took place in Chillicothe, Ohio, and Cincinnati, Ohio, which makes it Luca Guadagnino’s first film set and made in the United States.
  • The film cast includes one Oscar winner: Mark Rylance; and two Oscar nominees: Timothée Chalamet and Chloë Sevigny.
  • The film had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2022, where it won the Silver Lion for best direction and the Marcello Mastroianni for Russell.
