Storyline:

In this new psychological thriller/horror, as evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.

Never Let Go is an upcoming American survival horror-thriller film produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Alexandre Aja, and Dan Levine. Directed by Alexandre Aja and written by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby, the film stars Halle Berry, Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.

Principal photography for the film took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, from April 17 to June 2, 2023.

Mark Romanek was originally attached to direct the movie when it was titled Mother Land, but Alexandre Aja took over directing a month later.

Never Let Go premiered at the Regal Times Square in New York City on September 16, 2024, and was released in the United States by Lionsgate on September 20, 2024. The film received mixed reviews from critics. It was originally set for September 27, taking over the original release date for Saw XI.

In the United States and Canada, Never Let Go was released alongside The Substance and Transformers One. The film made $360,000 from Thursday night previews.
