About The Killer’s Game Movie:
The Killer’s Game is an upcoming American action comedy film produced by Andrew Lazar, Steve Richards and Kia Jam under the banner of Mad Chance Productions and Endurance Media. It is based on the 1997 novel of the same name by Jay Bonansinga.
Directed by J. J. Perry and written by Rand Ravich and James Coyne, the film stars Dave Bautista, Ben Kingsley, Sofia Boutella, Terry Crews, Pom Klementieff, Scott Adkins, and Drew McIntyre.
Broad Green Pictures aimed to acquire The Killer’s Game rights in December 2015. By February 2018, STX Films took over the film, hiring D.J. Caruso as director and casting Jason Statham, who was later replaced by Dave Bautista in April 2019. Nicolas Cage was also considered for the leading role.
Dave Bautista and Sofia Boutella reunite in this project, marking their second collaboration since Hotel Artemis in 2018.
Production for the film started in Budapest in July 2023 during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Currently, the film is in the production phase, and the makers have not yet confirmed the release date.
