About War 2 Movie:

War 2 is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It is the sequel to War (2019) and the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, the film stars Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal as the anti-villain this time, while Telugu actor N. T. Rama Rao Jr. has been cast as the antagonist, making his Hindi cinema debut. Shabir Ahluwalia has also been approached to play the new protagonist. Kiara Advani was later announced to be a part of the film.

At the launch of War, Anand confirmed that he was working on the script of its sequel and had plans to convert the film into a franchise, depending on the audience’s response to the film.

Ayan Mukerji was announced as the director replacing Siddharth Anand who has been signed on to direct Tiger Vs Pathaan. Roshan also reprised his role as Kabir in Tiger 3 in a post-credit cameo appearance. War 2 is scheduled to be released in theatres on 14 August 2025.
