About Movie:

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi is a romantic comedy film in Hindi that was released in 2004. Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film features prominent actors Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, alongside supporting performances from Amrish Puri, Kader Khan, Satish Shah, and Rajpal Yadav. The narrative unfolds primarily in Goa, centering on the comedic escapades of two men, Sameer (Khan) and Sunny (Kumar), as they vie for the affection of a woman named Rani (Chopra).

In a bid to refresh his filmmaking approach, Dhawan sought to create a film that strayed from his typical mass-market comedies, opting instead for a romantic comedy format. The screenplay was crafted by his long-time collaborators, Anees Bazmee and Rumi Jaffery. Although the story is set in Goa, the film was not shot there; instead, it was filmed on meticulously designed sets in Film City and Mauritius, with some scenes and musical numbers captured on location in Mauritius.

Upon its release on July 30, 2004, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi garnered positive reviews, particularly for its direction, acting, music, cinematography, art direction, and costume design. The film achieved significant commercial success, grossing ₹565 million, making it the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of that year. It received three nominations at the Filmfare Awards and led with thirteen nominations at the 6th IIFA Awards, winning five, including Best Film and Best Director for Dhawan. The film also received ten nominations at the Screen Awards, including Best Film.

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi remains a notable entry in the realm of Bollywood romantic comedies, celebrated for its engaging performances and humorous storyline.
