Storyline:
Wacky and Bhakti are married for 10 years but luck still has not favored them to success one day Bhakti meets Wacky’s aunt who tells her that they are facing bad luck in their life as due an unfulfilled wow by Wacky’s father,Bhakti now tries all possible ways to convince Wacky to full fill the vow but he is not ready because to fulfill the vow he has to go nude in a temple at Ganpatipule,Wacky takes the help of his friend Kishore and takes Bhakti to a fraud Baba who tells them that they can take mannequin dressed as Vacky secretly in a public transport to the temple and fulfill the vow,Kishore and Wacky hide the mannequin in a bus which is to leave early morning to Ganpatipule but the same night a smuggler hides diamonds in the mannequin,Bhakti and Wacky start their journey and many funny incidents take place until the bus conductor Lalu finds the hidden mannequin which creates a havoc.
About Movie:
Navra Maza Navsacha is a Marathi comedy film produced and directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar. It marks Sachin Pilgaonkar’s return to directing a Marathi film after 14 years, with his last Marathi directorial being Aaytya Gharat Gharoba in 1991. During the interim, he directed Hindi films and TV serials.
The plot of Navra Maza Navsacha is based on the 1972 Hindi film Bombay to Goa, which was a remake of the 1966 Tamil film Madras to Pondicherry. The movie is considered a cult classic in Marathi cinema.
In 2003, during his trip to Ganpatipule, Sachin Pilgaonkar conceived the idea for Navra Maza Navsacha. Initially, he had considered titling the film Chala Na Gade.
The film reunites Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ashok Saraf in Marathi cinema after nine years. The last time they worked together was in the 1996 Hindi film Aisi Bhi Kya Jaldi Hai.
The film was remade in Kannada as Ekadantha 2007 starring Vishnuvardhan, Prema, and Ramesh Aravind in the lead roles. Directed by Sachin himself.
The sequel of the film Navra Maza Navsacha 2 was released on September 20, 2024.
