About Nepal Idol Season 6 TV Series

Nepal Idol season 6 (Nepali: नेपाल आइडल ६) is a Nepali reality television singing competition that is part of the Idols franchise created and owned by FremantleMedia.

In March, the sixth season of Nepal Idol was confirmed by AP1TV with an announcement video on its digital platform. On March 21, 2025, auditions started from Itahari. The auditions will be held on:

• Hetauda (Bagmati Pradesh)
• Attariya (Sudurpachim Pradesh)
• Surkhet (Karnali Pradesh)
• Dang (Lumbini Pradesh)
• Pokhara (Gandaki Pradesh)
• Kathmandu (Nepal’s Capital City)

Hosts

As per the format, there is at least one or two hosts both of them being of the same gender or opposite gender.

Judges

A preselected panel of music industry representatives are given to judge the contestants in a prejudge round which is not televised. An actual panel of judges of three or five-judge the contestants from Televised Audition to the Grand Finale.

Performance stages

• Auditions: Auditions are held across various locations, allowing eligible participants to perform for producers. Those selected move on to a televised audition, where judges advance up to 300 contestants to the next round.
• Theatre round: In the Theatre round, selected auditioners gather in the host city to perform in three stages: a group chorus line with free song choice, a trio (or sometimes duo/quartet) with a preselected song, and a solo a cappella performance. After each stage, contestants are eliminated, with only a few brought back later during the Wildcards show.
• Piano Round: After theatre, top 18 or top 20 contestants are selected. They are divided into 8 or 10 within themselves and 3 or 4 are eliminated from the round. Eliminated contestants are brought back during wildcard shows.
• Gala Round: The gala is pre-recorded, with contestants performing for both judges and viewers. Results are split 50% audience votes and 50% judges’ scores. It features around 12 contestants, weekly performances, a Wildcards episode, and one-time judge veto power.
• Grand Finale: The Grand Finale features the final three contestants and is the series’ biggest event, often held at a prestigious venue. It includes group performances, special guests, highlights from the season, and ends with the winner’s announcement based on viewer votes. The winner then performs their coronation single, often with fireworks.

Nepal Idol Season 6 will be aired in mid-2025. It’s audition is started from March 21, 2025 and concluded April 7, 2025.

For Season 6, all judges from Season 5 — Nhyoo Bajracharya, Indira Joshi, and Kali Prasad Baskota — are expected to return to the show. However, the makers have not officially revealed the judges yet.
