About Movie:
Pizza is a Hindi horror film directed by Akshay Akkineni. It stars Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, and Dipannita Sharma in lead roles, with supporting performances from Arunoday Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Omkar Das Manikpuri, and Sonali Sachdev. The film is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film of the same name, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
Pizza (2014) received mixed reviews from critics. While some appreciated the film’s attempt to adapt the original Tamil narrative, others felt it lacked the suspense and thrill that made its predecessor successful. The performances of the lead actors were generally well-received, but the film’s execution drew some criticism.
This Hindi adaptation of Pizza contributes to the growing trend of remaking successful regional films in Bollywood. The original Tamil film Pizza (2012), directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was well-received and is noted for its innovative storytelling and strong performances. The success of the original led to its remakes in multiple languages, including Kannada as Whistle (2013) and Bengali as Golpo Holeo Shotti (2014).
Overall, while the Hindi version may not have achieved the same acclaim as its Tamil counterpart, it remains part of an expanding narrative in Indian cinema that explores horror themes across different languages.
