The highly anticipated trailer for Apple TV+’s upcoming limited series ‘Presumed Innocent‘ has been released, showcasing Jake Gyllenhaal’s intense performance as Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor accused of murdering his colleague and mistress. The series is created by David E. Kelley and directed by Greg Yaitanes and Anne Sewitsky.

The series, based on Scott Turow’s bestselling novel, follows Rusty as he faces intense scrutiny and questioning from prosecutors regarding his relationship with Carolyn, the murdered woman. Throughout the trailer, Gyllenhaal’s character repeatedly asserts his innocence, stating “I did not kill her” a total of 13 or 14 times.

The gripping trailer teases the unfolding of Rusty’s complex relationship with Carolyn, as new evidence comes to light and he is forced to confront his obsession with her. The series promises to delve into themes of obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as Rusty fights to hold his family and marriage together amidst the accusations.

The eight-episode limited series will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 12, with the first two episodes dropping on that date and a new episode released every Wednesday thereafter until July 24.
