Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to storm the box office starting this Friday. The pan-India film is one of the most awaited releases of the year, and the excitement among fans and movie lovers is at an all-time high. Advance ticket sales kicked off a few days ago, smashing records and underscoring Allu Arjun’s massive star power. According to Sacnilk, over 2 million tickets have already been sold in India for the opening day alone. The gross collections from these advance sales have soared to an impressive Rs 95 crore—with another day still to go before the film’s release.

Recently, the film is reported to be released on more than 12,000 screens worldwide. Now, the film is hitting a staggering 28,447 screens across India, with the Hindi version accounting for a significant share. Of the 2 million tickets sold, nearly half are for the original Telugu version. The nett collections in India from advance ticket sales currently stand at Rs 62.22 crore. Scheduled to release on December 5, Pushpa 2: The Rule will give audiences plenty of options to enjoy the experience, with formats like 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX.

Pushpa 2 has an advance booking of ₹100 Crore gross worldwide. For comparison, Salaar had done ₹81 Crore and Kalki 2898 had ₹90 Crore gross worldwide in the advance

Pushpa 2 Pre-release business

The film set a new benchmark in Indian cinema by achieving the highest pre-release business, amassing a staggering ₹1085 crore through combined theatrical and non-theatrical deals.

The theatrical rights alone accounted for nearly ₹640 crore (US$77 million). The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana rights were sold for ₹220 crore (US$26 million), while the Hindi dubbed rights fetched ₹200 crore (US$24 million). The Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala rights were secured in a combined deal worth ₹100 crore (US$12 million). Additionally, the overseas rights contributed ₹140 crore (US$17 million).

On the non-theatrical front, the film earned ₹425 crore (US$51 million) from digital, satellite, and music rights.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is a Telugu action drama film directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj. It is the second instalment in the Pushpa film series and the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled to be released worldwide on 5 December 2024 in standard, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, D-Box and PVR ICE formats. Apart from the original Telugu language it will also be dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam languages.
