About Movie:
Pyaar Ke Side Effects is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Saket Chaudhary in his directorial debut. Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, the film stars Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose in lead roles, exploring the complexities and humorous aspects of modern relationships, particularly focusing on commitment phobia.
The film features music composed by Pritam, with lyrics written by Mayur Puri. The soundtrack includes several popular songs that contribute to the film’s appeal. Filming took place in various locations, capturing the essence of contemporary urban life.
Upon its release on September 17, 2006, Pyaar Ke Side Effects received mixed reviews from critics. While some appreciated its light-hearted take on relationships and the chemistry between the lead actors, others pointed out that the second half of the film dragged at times. Despite this, it performed moderately well at the box office, grossing approximately ₹74.7 million.
The success of Pyaar Ke Side Effects led to a sequel titled Shaadi Ke Side Effects, released in 2014, featuring Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles. The sequel continued to explore themes of relationships and commitment but from a different perspective.
