Storyline:
Following 3 journalists, Rhapsody in Justice portrays a Harlem-based cable news program born after the election of Donald J. Trump as President. Showing the idiosyncrasies and complexities of racism during the Trump era — journalists Sista Truth, Sista Wanna Be Free and Sista Tell it Like It Is — are confronted with the impact of “false news” permeating the conservative news network known as “Coyote and Friends” and by its commentator, Sucker Partisan. Interpersonal conflicts and danger confront the journalists who pursue answers about controversial topics such as racism and the impact of Trump’s political prominence. Influenced by the civil rights struggles of the past and guided by the mystic spirit of children who magically appear, the journalists’ journey reaches a dramatic conclusion.
