Storyline:
Twelve years after he fled, career criminal Trojan returns to Berlin. A valuable painting is set to be stolen in the city. But the meticulously planned heist soon runs out of control.

Scorched Earth (German: Verbrannte Erde), is a German crime thriller film written and directed by Thomas Arslan and produced by Anton Kaiser, Florian Koerner von Gustorf, and Michael Weber.
It is a sequel to the 2010 film In the Shadows. Mišel Matičević is reprising his role as Trojan, a professional criminal who specializes in robberies.
Filming for the movie commenced on October 25, 2022, in Essen and Berlin, wrapping up on November 30, 2022. The production took place in various locations across Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.
The film was selected in the Panorama section at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival where it was screened on February 20, 2024. It was also screened at Lichter Filmfest Frankfurt International, Frankfurt on April 17, 2024.
Scorched Earth was released on July 18, 2024, in theaters in Germany by Piffl Medien.
