About Sham Movie
Sham (でっちあげ 殺人教師と呼ばれた男) is an upcoming Japanese directed by Takashi Miike and written by Masumi Fukuda (novel) and Hayashi Mori, starring Kô Shibasaki, Gô Ayano, and Kaoru Kobayashi in the lead roles.
Takashi Miike, a prolific and polarizing film maker,is well known for his films such as Audition, Ichi The Killer, and 13 Assassins. Sham is Miike’s first fictional feature-length film on investigative journalism-grounded subject matter, and it is a departurefrom Miike’s previous themes, while remaining within his characteristic ferocity. Where as Sham is still in post-production,it is generating tremendous buzz in Japan.
Toei produced Sham and now has the film to international buyers at the American Film Market (AFM) in late 2024. The film is sure to be a compelling, cerebral examination of truth, justice, and media consumption in contemporary society. Inshort,the film will be a meaningful Japanese film release in 2025,with the uniquestory-telling features of a true crime, courtroom, and socio-politicalfilmby one of Japan’s most distinguished filmmakers!
