Star Wars: New Jedi Order is an upcoming American action-adventure fantasy film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, from a screenplay by Justin Britt-Gibson, Steven Knight, and Damon Lindelof. Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey.
In a November 2021 interview by Empire, Kathleen Kennedy indicated that Lucasfilm team had been having conversations regarding the future of the sequel trilogy’s characters.
At Star Wars Celebration Europe IV in 2023, film director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy announced that the story of this film will be set 15 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
Kathleen Kennedy also hinted at the possibility of other sequel trilogy characters coming back.
The film will be shot in London, England, United Kingdom.
