Storyline:

Sudhandhiram is a remake of the Hindi film Ghulam (1998), which itself is inspired by the American classic On the Waterfront (1954). The rights to remake Ghulam were sold for ₹25 lakh (approximately ₹1.1 crore or US$130,000 in 2023) .
