About Movie:
Sudhandhiram is a Tamil crime action film directed by Raj Kapoor and produced by K. R. Gangadharan. The film features Arjun and Rambha in lead roles, with Raghuvaran, Radhika, and Sharat Saxena in supporting roles.
Sudhandhiram is a remake of the Hindi film Ghulam (1998), which itself is inspired by the American classic On the Waterfront (1954). The rights to remake Ghulam were sold for ₹25 lakh (approximately ₹1.1 crore or US$130,000 in 2023) .
Upon its release, Sudhandhiram was well-received and contributed to the ongoing trend of remaking successful Hindi films in regional languages, showcasing the cross-cultural appeal of cinematic narratives in India.
