Storyline:

When a few hundred Filipinos known as the Royal Security Force of the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo was sent by Jamalul Kiram III to claim the throne of the Sulu Sultanate, the VAT69 Commando crew fight to defend the sovereignty of the homeland from attacks by terrorist groups, becoming known as the Lahad Datu 2013 standoff or Operation Daulat.

About Takluk: Lahad Datu Movie:

Takluk: Lahad Datu is inspired by a real incident that happened during Ops Daulat that shook the country on February 11, 2013. At that time, Sulu terrorists invaded Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

It is the second Malaysian film to be released in IMAX format after MALBATT: Misi Bakara (2023).
