Storyline:

About The Bride! Movie:
The Bride! is an upcoming American science fiction romantic horror film written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. The film stars Penélope Cruz, Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Julianne Hough, and Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film draws inspiration from James Whale’s 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein, itself adapted from Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.
In August 2023, a new take on Mary Shelley’s creations was announced for Netflix, to be written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. However, later that month, Netflix reportedly left the project to focus on a separate Frankenstein film, written and directed by Guillermo del Toro. In November 2023, it was reported that Warner Bros were producing the adaptation instead.
The film cast includes two Oscar winners: Christian Bale & Penélope Cruz; and four Oscar nominees: Annette Bening Jessie Buckley, Jeannie Berlin, and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Principal photography began in March 2024, with filming locations set to include New York. First-look images from the filming were released on April 4, 2024.
The Bride! is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 26, 2025, by Warner Bros Pictures.
