Storyline:
The film is based on the novel Dream of the Red Chamber (红楼梦), written by Cao Xueqin (曹雪芹) at the very end of the 18th century. In the film, through the fate and tragic love story of a young boy and two young girls, we witness the rise and fall of four richest families in 18 century China.
