Storyline:

The series follows Talcott Garland, whose tranquil existence is upended by the death of his father. Mariah Denton, a former journalist and ardent conspiracy theorist, questions the manner of his death and thinks he was the victim of foul play.

The Emperor of Ocean Park is an American mystery crime thriller television series starring Grantham Coleman, Forest Whitaker, Tiffany Mack, Paulina Lule, Henry Simmons, and Bryan Greenberg. It is based on a best-selling novel of the same name by Stephen L. Carter.

In January 2023, MGM+ began developing a series. By November 2023, it was announced that Grantham Coleman would star in the lead role, with Tiffany Mack and Paulina Lule also cast. Forest Whitaker joined the cast in January 2024, followed by Henry Simmons, Bryan Greenberg, and Jasmine Batchelor. Ora Jones and Torrey Hanson were added to the cast in February 2024.

Filming of the series began in Chicago on January 10, 2024, and finished on April 25. Filming also took place in Lemont, IL. A trailer for the series was released in May 2024.

The Emperor of Ocean Par premiered on July 14, 2024, on MGM+.
