About Movie:
The Fantastic Four: First Steps (The Fantastic 4: First Steps) is an upcoming American science fiction action adventure film directed by Matt Shakman, from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
The film stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, Ralph Ineson, and John Malkovich.
It is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. This is the fifth live-action incarnation of the Fantastic Four, after The Fantastic Four (1994), the Tim Story films Fantastic Four (2005) Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and Fantastic Four (2015).
Jon Watts was originally announced as the director in December 2020 but stepped down in April 2022 to take a break from superhero projects for a while. Both Margot Robbie and Emma Stone were also offered for the role of Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman but turned it down.
Disney’s CEO Bob Iger stated that they plan to integrate the Fantastic Four into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after purchasing Fox Studios in a $71.3 billion deal, officially completed in March 2019. Kevin Feige officially announced on December 10, 2020, that the movie is in development and will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in London in late July 2024.
The movie will be released 20 years after Fantastic Four (2005) and 10 years after Fantastic Four (2015).
The Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 25, 2025, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
