The Front Room is an American psychological horror thriller film, based on the short story of the same name by Susan Hill, published in 2016. The film is written and directed by the Eggers Brothers in their feature film debut.
Produced by A24, 2AM, and Two & Two Pictures, the film stars Brandy Norwood, Kathryn Hunter, Neal Huff, and Andrew Burnap.
Filming occurred in August and September 2022 across various locations in New Jersey, including a house in Boonton, an office building in Parsippany–Troy Hills, and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park. By mid-February 2023, it was reported that the film had entered post-production.
The Front Room was released by A24 in the United States on September 6, 2024. Universal Pictures is set to release the film in the United Kingdom on October 25, 2024.
