The Seed of the Sacred Fig (Persian: دانه‌ی انجیر معابد, romanized: Dāne-ye anjīr-e ma’ābed; French: Les Graines du figuier sauvage; German: Die Saat des heiligen Feigenbaums) is a drama film written and directed by Mohammad Rasoulof. The film stars Soheila Golestani, Missagh Zareh, Mahsa Rostami, and Setareh Maleki.

The film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it premiered on May 24, 2024. It received a special award from the jury, an additional recognition beyond the main prizes of Palme d’Or, Grand Prix, and Jury Prize. Reports of the standing ovation for the film varied between 12 and 15 minutes. Before its screening, Neon secured North American distribution rights, planning to release it later in 2024. Following the premiere, Lionsgate acquired distribution rights for the UK and Ireland.

The film had its North American premiere at the 51st Telluride Film Festival and was featured in the Centrepiece section of the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. It was also included in the Main Slate of the 62nd New York Film Festival. In France, Les Graines du figuier sauvage was released theatrically by Pyramide Distribution on September 18, 2024. Alamode Film will distribute the film in Germany under the title Die Saat des heiligen Feigenbaums on December 26, 2024.
