About This Life of Mine Movie:
This Life of Mine (French: Ma vie ma gueule) is a French comedy-drama film written and directed by Sophie Fillières. The film stars Agnès Jaoui, Angélina Woreth, Édouard Sulpice, Philippe Katerine, Valérie Donzelli and Laurent Capelluto.
This Life of Mine is Sophie Fillières’ seventh and final feature, completed just before her death in July 2023. After falling ill during production, Fillières entrusted her children, Agathe and Adam Bonitzer, along with producer Julie Salvador, to oversee post-production. Following her passing, Agathe and Adam worked with editor François Quiqueré, using notes their mother had written while hospitalized, to complete the film.
This Life of Mine had its world premiere on May 15, 2024, as the opening film of the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. It was later released in theaters on September 18, 2024, by Jour2Fête.
