Storyline:
Lucy, a modern high school senior and amateur inventor, accidentally finds a time machine and travels back to 2003, the year her sister was murdered by an unknown serial killer. Now torn between solving the mystery that has undone her parents and her hometown, saving the sister that she never knew, and irreparably altering the future – and her own existence – Lucy must decide how to stop the slasher, save her family, and blend into 2003.
About Time Cut Movie:
In May 2021, it was announced that Hannah MacPherson would direct a film based on a script by Michael Kennedy and Sono Patel. Madison Bailey and Antonia Gentry were the first cast members confirmed, with additional cast announced alongside the film’s 2024 release date.
Filming was scheduled for Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, from June 21 to July 28, 2021, but principal photography began on July 6 and concluded in August. Cinematography was handled by Tony Mirza and Halyna Hutchins, prior to her work on Rust. The production used unloaded guns, with firearms safety personnel ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols for the cast and crew.
Time Cut premiered on Netflix on October 30, 2024.
