Storyline:
The film follows Krishna, a passionate man determined to revive the ancient tradition of theater plays in modern times. Set against the backdrop of Surabhi Natakalu, a legendary Telugu theater form, the story explores Krishna’s mission to restore this art. With the support of his love interest, Rama, and guidance from his father, Abhimanyu Narayan, Krishna battles numerous challenges to uphold the legacy of theater. Blending love, drama, and cultural heritage, the film offers a heartfelt narrative about preserving art in an evolving world.
About Movie:
Utsavam marks the directorial debut of Arjun Sai, who also wrote the script. The film features newcomers Dilip Prakash and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, alongside veteran actors such as Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Ali, Nassar, L. B. Sriram, Anish Kuruvilla, and Priyadarshi Pulikonda, among others.
On May 22, 2023, the Utsavam team completed post-production work. On January 26, 2024, the makers officially unveiled the first look poster to mark Republic Day, and the film’s teaser was released on January 28, 2024.
Utsavam was theatrically released on September 13, 2024.
