The Battle Begins: Hrithik Roshan vs Jr NTR in War 2, Coming This Independence Day!

The 6th installment in the YRF Spy Universe, War 2, is coming to cinemas this Independence Day on 14 August 2025. It is the sequel to the film War, released in 2019, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Vaani Kapoor, and Ashutosh Rana.

Hrithik Roshan is reprising his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, a RAW agent, along with Kiara Advani and big Telugu star Jr. NTR. This marks the debut of Telugu actor Jr. NTR in Hindi cinema.

The film is a spy thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his best works Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. At the launch of War, Anand confirmed that he was working on the script of its sequel and had plans to convert the film into a franchise, depending on the audience’s response to the film. After the first film’s success, the filmmakers announced its sequel, War 2.

In the movie, Hrithik plays a cool secret agent facing off against Jr. NTR’s strong opponent. The film will be released in dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil. It is also expected to break box office records and set a new standard for Bollywood action movies.
