X-Men ’97 is an American animated adventure science fiction superhero television series, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men. It is a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997), continuing the story of the X-Men who face new challenges following the loss of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier.
Beau DeMayo created the series for the streaming service Disney+ and produced by Marvel Studios Animation. The series stars the voices of Ray Chase, Jennifer Hale, Alison Sealy-Smith, Cal Dodd, J. P. Karliak, Lenore Zann, George Buza, A. J. LoCascio, Holly Chou, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Matthew Waterson, and Ross Marquand.
Discussion for the series started in June 2019. The series was announced in November 2021. Voices were recorded at the same studio as X-Men: The Animated Series (1992).
X-Men ’97 premiered on March 20, 2024, with its first two episodes. The rest of the ten-episode first season is being released weekly until May 15. A second season is in production and a third is in development.
