Storyline:
In 1992, Mercer (Tyrese Gibson) is desperately trying to rebuild his life and his relationship with his son (Christopher A’mmanuel) amidst the turbulent 1992 LA uprising following the Rodney King verdict. Across town, another father and son (Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood) put their own strained relationship to the test as they plot a dangerous heist to steal catalytic converters, which contain valuable platinum, from the factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise in Los Angeles and chaos erupts, both families reach their boiling points when they collide in this tense crime-thriller.

1992 is an American action thriller drama film starring Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta, Scott Eastwood, and Dylan Arnold. It was directed by Ariel Vromen and written by Sascha Penn and Vromen from a story by Penn.
The film’s title refers to the first night of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which is where and when the film is set. This is Ray Liotta’s final film appearance and the film will be dedicated to his memory.
In 2015, it was reported that Ice Cube and O’Shea Jackson Jr. were cast in the film, but a publicist released a statement confirming that Cube and Jackson had no involvement with the film.
Ariel Vromenn was announced as director in March 2021. Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta, and Scott Eastwood join in July 2021. Filming begins in Bulgaria and Los Angeles in September 2021 with Michael Beasley cast. Christopher Ammanuel and Dylan Arnold were added to the cast in February 2022.
