Storyline:

The film follows Mina (Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist, as she gets stranded in an extensive, immaculate forest in western Ireland. After finding shelter, she becomes trapped alongside three strangers, stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

The Watchers is an American supernatural horror fantasy film written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, and Nimitt Mankad. The film is based on the book of the same name by A.M. Shine who also co-wrote the script. The film marks the directorial debut of Ishana Night Shyamalan.

In February 2023, it was announced that New Line Cinema would produce The Watchers, written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan in her feature directorial debut. That April, Dakota Fanning and Georgina Campbell joined the cast of the film.

Principal photography took place in Dublin, Wicklow, and Galway from July to September 2023. In mid-July, production was granted an interim agreement to continue filming during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.

The Watchers was theatrically released by Warner Bros. Pictures on June 7, 2024. It was originally planned for release on June 14. It is one of the highest-grossing movies of 2024.
