Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil
Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is an upcoming Malayalam comedy-drama film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Yogi Babu, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan. The film is directed by Vipin Das, who co-wrote the script with Deepu Pradeep.
Produced under the banner of Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment, the film cinematography is done by Ravi Neeraj and John Kutty does the editing. L2: Empuraan
L2: Empuraan is an upcoming Malayalam action crime thriller film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy. The film is also marketed with the short title L2E by the makers. It is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film Lucifer. On 18 June 2019, a follow-up to the film titled L2: Empuraan was officially announced by Prithviraj, Mohanlal, Murali, and Antony at a press conference held at Kochi. The success of the first film led to the decision to proceed with the second installment in the series. It was set to begin production in the second half of 2020, but was put on hold indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Prithviraj, “Empuraan” means “more than a King and less than a god” and the literal meaning would be “overlord”. He said Empuraan will not be a continuation of the story seen in Lucifer but will explain what happened before and after Lucifer. Principal photography took place on October 5, 2023, in Faridabad. Subsequent sporadic schedules were conducted at various locations, including the United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, and Russia. L2: Empuraan is expected to be released theatrically in 2024.
