It is the fifth and the latest film in the Chakka Panja franchise. Produced under the banner of Aama Saraswoti Movies & IME Present.

Chakka Panja 5 was theatrically released on October 10, 2024 (Asoj 25, 2081), following Nepal’s biggest festival, Bada Dashain. It was released alongside the films 12 Gaun and Jwai Saab.

The film achieved the biggest opening in the Nepali film industry for 2024, earning approximately 1.50 crore on its first day and amassing 11.5 crores nationwide within the first six days. It the highest grossing Nepali film of all time.
