Storyline:

Sometimes, the monster chasing you is a rumour. Rahab Ahmed – a top advertising professional and Nivedita Singh – a political heiress, find no place to hide as they get entangled in a vicious rumour created by the social media machinery. The film was announced on February 17, 2022. Principal photography commenced on June 21, 2022 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Afwaah was released theatrically on May 5, 2023 by AA Films. The film was released alongside The Kerala Story and got very limited release with odd show timings.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui parted ways from the film’s promotion as he wasn’t happy with the limited screens given to the film with odd timings.
Tapsee Pannu declined the film as she wasn’t keen to work with Nawaazuddin Siddiqui.
