Storyline:
The story follows Ambi, a timid lawyer who becomes disillusioned with society’s apathy towards corruption and injustice. His frustration leads to the development of three distinct personalities: Ambi, the idealist; Remo, the charismatic model; and Anniyan, the ruthless vigilante. As Anniyan, he takes justice into his own hands, punishing those who escape the law. The film explores themes of morality, justice, and the psychological impact of societal corruption.
About Movie:
Anniyan is a Tamil psychological action thriller film co-written and directed by S. Shankar. The film stars Vikram in a dual role as Ramanujam (Ambi), a law-abiding lawyer with multiple personality disorder, who develops two alter egos: Remo, a suave fashion model, and Anniyan, a vigilante who punishes wrongdoers. The film also features Sadha, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, Nassar, and Prakash Raj in supporting roles.
The film was shot in various locations including Hyderabad, Thanjavur, Tindivanam, Chennai, Mumbai, Malaysia, Amsterdam, and Tenkasi. Notably, it featured a recreation of the Tyagaraja Aradhana music festival and utilized advanced visual effects techniques such as time-slice photography in its action sequences.
