Storyline:

The story is about a girl named Parvaneh (Parinaz Izadyar) who owns a shop in the suburbs of Tehran and has a poor family whose father is in prison. Farhad (Hootan Shakiba), a young teacher who is Parvaneh’s father’s ally, is in touch with Parvaneh for his father’s work from time to time and is interested in him.

Conjugal Visit (Persian: ملاقات خصوصی, romanized: Molāqāt Xosusi, original title: ‘Private Meeting’) is an Iranian romantic drama film directed by Omid Shams and written by Shams, Bahman Ark, and Ali Sarahang. The film stars Parinaz Izadyar and Hootan Shakiba in the leads roles with Rima Raminfar, Roya Teymourian, Siavash Cheraghi Pour, Nader Fallah, and Payam Ahmadinia in supporting roles.

Conjugal Visit premiered in competition at the 40th Fajr Film Festival on February 1, 2022, and earned 2 nominations. It was later set to release theatrically on September 29, 2022, but later postpended to January 4, 2023, due to the ongoing Mahsa Amini protests in Iran.
