Storyline:
In 1944, American archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones helps colleague Basil Shaw against Jürgen Voller, a Nazi, from obtaining a mysterious dial known as the Antikythera. Twenty-five years later, Jones is uneasy over the fact that the U.S. government has recruited former Nazis to help beat the Soviet Union in the competition to make it to space. He is about to be forced into retirement from his teaching position because of his opposition to the practice; surprisingly, Basil’s daughter Helena Shaw (Jones’s Goddaughter) accompanies him on his journey for the Antikythera. Meanwhile, Voller, now a NASA member and ex-Nazi involved with the Apollo Moon-landing program, wishes to make the world into a better place as he sees fit.

About Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Movie:
First Indiana Jones movie to not be directed by Steven Spielberg.
The film is a sequel to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) and serves as the fifth and final installment in the Indiana Jones film series.
Principal photography for the film began in the UK on June 4, 2021. Shooting locations include Pinewood Studios and Bamburgh Castle. Scenes were also filmed at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway near Grosmont, where an action sequence involving Ford’s stunt double was shot and replicas of World War II-era Nazi military vehicles were seen on set.
Filming for one scene took place on a nondescript street in June 2021 in Clapton, East London.
The film received a five-minute standing ovation at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
Harrison Ford would embark on 40 mile bike rides and daily walks to get in shape for his Indiana Jones role.
John Williams was announced to return to compose the fifth film. He later announced that he intended to retire from film composition once the film is released.
Screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan is the son of Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the first movie Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). They also co-wrote the script for Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).
Harrison Ford will be 80 at the time of this film’s release, making him the oldest person to play the lead in a Disney film. The previous record holder was Richard Farnsworth, who was 79 at the time of The Straight Story (1999)’s release.
Harrison Ford said on a popular UK chat show that he would reprise his role as Indiana Jones again in a “New York minute,” though he said later that this film was unnecessary.
John Williams has said that a “new” ending is yet to be shot and he will need to compose a new ending score .
It appears that this will be the first Indiana Jones movie to be shot digitally instead of on 35mm film.
The first Indiana Jones movie to not feature an opening with the Paramount logo transition.
