Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones is an American media franchise based on the adventures of Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones, Jr., a fictional professor of archaeology, that began in 1981 with the film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. In 1984, a prequel, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, was released, and in 1989, a sequel, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. A fourth film followed in 2008, titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A fifth film, titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was released on June 30, 2023.

In this film Archaeology professor Indiana Jones ventures to seize a biblical artefact known as the Ark of the Covenant. While doing so, he puts up a fight against Renee and a troop of Nazis.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is an American action-adventure film directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. It is the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones film series, which stars Harrison Ford as archaeologist Indiana Jones, along with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, and Toby Jones. The film was theatrically released in the United States on June 30, 2023, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film received lukewarm reviews from critics and has grossed $335 million worldwide, becoming a box-office bomb due to a lack of wide appeal for moviegoers and an expensive overall budget.

In the film series, in 1969, American archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones lives against the backdrop of the Space Race. Jones is uneasy over the fact that the U.S. government has recruited former Nazis to help beat the Soviet Union in the competition to make it to space. His goddaughter, Helena, accompanies him on his journey. Meanwhile, Jürgen Voller, a NASA member and ex-Nazi involved with the moon-landing program, wishes to make the world into a better place as he sees fit.
