About Madame Web Movie:
Madame Web is an American superhero action-adventure film, based on Marvel Comics books. The film stars Dakota Johnson in the title role, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, and Tahar Rahim.
Based on the modern Madam Web in the Marvel comic books, the film is intended to be the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSMU), following Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Morbius (2022).
S. J. Clarkson’s feature directional debut.
Madame Web is the third Marvel character depicted as an old lady in the comics, but adapted as a much younger woman in live-action.
Principal photography began on July 11, 2022, in the Financial District of Boston and wrapped in mid-January 2023.
The first trailer for the film was released on November 15, 2023.
Madame Web premiered at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles on February 12, 2024, and was theatrically released in the United States on February 14, in IMAX, 4DX, and ScreenX. It was previously scheduled for July 7, 2023, October 6, 2023, and then February 16, 2024. This will be the first film to use the new Columbia Pictures logo commemorating the studio’s 100th anniversary, with a computer-generated animated version of the “Lady with the Torch” iconography.
In December 2022, Sony signed a long-term deal with the Canadian-based streaming service Crave for their films starting in April 2023, following the films’ theatrical and home media windows. Crave signed for the “pay-one” window streaming rights, which included Madame Web. It is one of the highest-grossing movies of 2024.
