Bazooka

The official title, Bazooka, was announced by the makers on 9 April 2023. It is an action crime thriller film written and directed by Deeno Dennis. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon, Gayathiri Iyer, Neeta Pillai, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharaf U Dheen, and Jagadish. The film marks the directorial debut of Deeno Dennis, son of screenwriter Kaloor Dennis. Filming for the movie was initially planned for April to August 2023 across multiple locations but was delayed due to Mammootty’s mother’s passing. Principal photography began on 10 May 2023, and Mammootty completed his scenes by August 5, 2023. However, there was an accident involving Hakkim Shah during filming in August. Mammootty shot for 45 days for the film.

Turbo

Mammootty’s upcoming movie is titled Turbo directed by Vysakh and written by Midhun Manuel Thomas. It is an action comedy film starring Mammootty in the lead role alongside Anjana Jayaprakash, Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Shabareesh Varma. The film’s music is composed by Justin Varghese and Christo Xavier, while the cinematography is handled by Vishnu Sharma and editing is done by Shameer Muhammed. Produced under Mammootty’s banner Mammootty Kampany, the film is set to be distributed by Wayfarer Films, the production house of Dulquer Salmaan. Currently, the film is in production and the release date is not confirmed yet.

Bilal

Bilal is an upcoming Malayalam crime drama film directed by Amal Neerad, who co-wrote it with Unni R. It is a sequel to the 2007 film Big B. The film stars Mammootty as Bilal alongside Mamta Mohandas, Arjun Das, Manoj K. Jayan, and Bala. A sequel titled Bilal was announced by director Amal Neerad on November 17, 2017, and was set to start principal photography in March 2020 but was postponed indefinitely owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been in pre-production owing to script changes and scale.

Drishyam 3

It is a sequel to the 2021 film Drishyam 2, which is itself a sequel to the 2013 film Drishyam. After the release of Drishyam 2, producer Antony Perumbavoor commented that it is possible for a third film in the series, although Jeethu Joseph had neither confirmed nor denied it. Antony also said that Jeethu is researching on possible story arcs for Drishyam 3, and there had been discussions with Mohanlal. On 23 February 2021, Jeethu said in a press conference that he currently has figured out the climax for Drishyam 3, but the screenplay and production may take at least three years to materialise.

I Am a Disco Dancer

I Am a Disco Dancer is an upcoming Malayalam comedy film directed by Nadirsha and written by Vishnu Unnikrishnan. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role. Produced by R. Rakesh under the banner of Universal Cinema, the film has music composed by Jakes Bejoy (background music) and Emil Muhammed (music), while the cinematography is handled by Vinod Illampally, and editing is done by John Kutty. Currently, the film is in the pre-production phase and the release date is not confirmed yet.
